Nguyen is a documentary portrait photographer whose work lives between raw observation and cinematic editorial. Rejecting heavily staged studio environments, he shoots exclusively on location, utilizing natural light to anchor his subjects within the authentic, everyday rhythm of their surroundings.

From the pre-dawn chaos of Hanoi's Quảng Bá flower market to the quiet, sweeping scale of the American Midwest, his visual focus remains on finding elegance in the mundane. Operating entirely outside the traditional commercial agency structure, he approaches his photography as a curated, personal pursuit focused on capturing the natural, authentic essence of the subject from within.

Outside of photography, Nguyen is finishing his MS in Applied Data Science at the University of Chicago.
