Can someone just tell me how to make lists? I see photographer profiles with "killer photos" lists on them...

i just figured it out today actually, if you want to make a list, find a picture you like, and in  the top right hand corner itll say add to list. click it and you can make your own and whatnot.

Please keep the chit-chat out of this thread. As the OP stated, this is meant to be a read only thread aka thread of information, not hellos and introductions.
We are happy to have you post your introduction in a new post here in the newbie forum. Thank you for joining MM and have a great day!!! smile

Mike, you have the right to take or ignore any advice given here. If you don't like what you see, skip and move on. Doing what you did is what got most newbie into trouble. We are the nice people group here in MM. If you have problem with us, you're going to have a lot of problem here in MM. Just wait until you posting something dumb in the wrong thread or asking the wrong questions in the wrong time. . . I wish you luck. But you won;t be getting any sympathy from me when you get attack in the forum in the future.

Shut up mike. Note: this is my first post. I was approved... TODAY!  Thanks for all the great tips! advice is good.  Advice puts me in my happy place and everyone in theirs too.

I'm Soooo Happy that forums exist! New models such as myself need to be able to have access to worthy reading material for  reference:")  I Like how you classified the different types of people that are here to flourish or to just wander aimlessly:"O

I guess I'm a "fawn" according to the top post.  I can't really figure out how to work this whole posting a forum.  But I do have a few questions if anyone could help me out :-)

Please no trolls or wolves or whatever else was mentioned...

1. A friend of mine said she got an agent through model mayhem, but in one of the posts somewhere I thought it said the site was off limits to agents...?

2. I would love to do any trade for prints with any photographer who is in the LA or Orange County area.  I need some professional body shots, and even though I appreciate the art behind nude shots, I will not be doing any of those at this time.  Thank you.

I hope I did this correctly - if you could send me a message or comment which I believe are called tags, to answer those questions, that would be greatly appreciated.  :-)

Thank you!
Alexa

can you help me with html coding for my profile?

all i want to do is make it more organized and put separate ideas in "bold" and certain texts to be "striked out" (line across it as though i scratched it out) or even create a border/box around a text, like i've seen so many times here on MM.

i know simple HTML, but MM does not support it!

(i.e. )

thank youu

I'm not sure how to use this site in order to find casting calls or other related work.  Can someone tell me if perhaps if perhaps I am on the wrong site for my needs?  And if I am how do I navigate around to generate interest?  Thanks

Please watch out for these events that cost $100 and promise industry contacts , photos , and other random help.

Check out the profile and website of these supposed professionals and if they have the work to back up the claim then go ahead.

But you can get all the industry contacts you need right here.

That's what this site is all about , helping models and photographers,  not ripping them off.

Never pay up front if you are not sure of what the event will do for you.

  And ,

Always sign a contract , ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this doesn't mean a model release , that's actually worse than not signing  a contract.

Good luck and watch out for the sharks.

I can't believe that GWC (Guy With Camera) is an actual option on MM, i guess it narrows them down a little, but i am still baffled that anyone would classify themselves as a GWC.... lol

There are many GWC's running around posing as Photographers.  To all you Newbies, please look at a photographers credits and the quality of the "art" they produce, don't let a photographer talk you into doing something that makes your feel uncomfortable, and usually if a photographer doesn't allow an escort to accompany you, they are most likely a GWC.
