Has anyone here gotten their cpp (certified professional photographer certification) from PSA (Professional Photographers of America) and did it help your career/businsess?

I did consider starting that whole process, years ago. I brought in a couple of images to be considered to get started but quickly determined that I just didn't have the patience for all the politics that were involved. Well, that was what appeared to be the case in the local chapter I would have to go through. As with so many other endeavours, there was the "in" crowd and all the others.

Just couldn't see putting up with all the BS.

Few, if any commercial clients will inquire about "certification" from any organization not requiring multiple portfolio reviews for membership.

I have however, had interior design clients state a company policy of only asking bids from ASMP member photographers.
