I have recently retired and decided to hang-up my coat and tie and go in a completely different direction. Can anyone tell me if there is a demand for a confident, mature, senior nude male model available for sketching and photography? I live in the Baltimore area and I am trying to decide how to pursue this career change or if it is even worth pursing. This for me is a way to meet new people and stay active while having fun

The vast majority of the people who get modelling work here are the ladies and the vast majority of the photographers here are in it for the ladies, not to mention most of the models have moved on to Instagram/TikTok/OF and Facebook groups.

This is basically a legacy site from a bygone era.

What’s stopping you from practicing what you preach?

This is now the second time you have commented on this female member’s recent, successive posts.

Is it any wonder why females are reluctant to participate in these forums when certain male members feel inclined to make a smart-mouthed response or give advice which would have been more rewarding if it had been directed as encouragement toward the new member.

Brands like Estée Lauder are increasingly using mature models such as Paulina Porizkova to promote products for older demographics, including in sectors like health, fashion, and lifestyle, sometimes requiring intimate, boudoir, or, less frequently, nude, artistic photography. Older or rather optical mature male models are always in demand for advertising campaigns.

I suggest you make use of Model Mayhem’s BROWSE feature and filter down to all the photographers in the Baltimore area and view each of their portfolios to find those that feature male models. Start out by sending these photographers a Friend Request. As you are a VIP member you will also be able to message them.

First time I've used the forum in more than a decade and I already have a stalker. lol.

Anyways, lets not mince words here.

1. Modeling is a female dominated industry, and youth gives you plus points.

2. Most of the photographers here are in it for the chicks, especially if they're willing to do nudes. I mean, look at this very subforum, female models get more welcome messages, the rest just gets one curt "welcome to the mayhem....." response and the thread drowns.

3. Another thing is when a female model's profile is activated, they already have comments on tags on their profiles, and probably lots of messages and friend requests. (I know, that was the case with me). For the rest, they just get a blank profile.

4. Instagram/OF/Facebook Groups have pretty much taken most of this site's audience like a decade ago.

Anyways, I just decided to log in because I was bored in my summer vacation.

My apology to the OP for going off topic.
