tip: adjust exposure for background and add couple of f stops on your speed light and use a diffuser. (adjust for best dynamic range that gives you good contrast overall)

Thanks for your input. The photos you didn't care for, I was taking direction from the photographers on what I should do, so I suppose it's a matter of perspective. I am looking to work with more photographers at this time but I'm not in a big city so it is a bit challenging.

Thank you for the critique I actually just did a vintage pin up shoot, and am actively working on my expressions. The photos that you pointed out as not flattering I deleted; I've been debating removing them for a while, and this sealed the deal. Really appreciate it! LOL feel free to use the headers!
