I need to add a lot of new stuff, and generally plan to get back into taking pictures again more regularly, but appreciate a critique on what I have on right now. Maybe see where to focus and where to grow.

First impressions: amateur shooter
Specific  style: beauty glamor
Your Work focus: glamour erotic
Your MM Profile usefulness: could be trimmed without losing the content.
Your challenges: Inability to create a credible context that validates the genre you shoot
Paid assignments: TFP
What I like:  https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/160402/12/57001b1571834_m.jpg
Suggestions/ Bottom line/verdict:   I see some tight crops that doesn't add much to the photos. Models often look distracted or absent. I would recommend better backgrounds and model coaching and shoot with a purpose to make a difference.

My current MM port is not so current anymore, with virtually no traveling models out here even in these post-Covid days. And then there's the usual lack of MUAs and stylists. It could use some pruning, but please take a look. Everything in the port was done on a TF basis, quite spontaneously, solely with natural daylight, and primarily with amateur models. Thanks!

First impressions: Good work overall in your paradise, however with some caveats.
Specific  style: BW art, swimwear beauty glamour
Your Work focus: hommage to the female lifeform
Your MM Profile usefulness: convincing
Your challenges:   having the advantage of shooting in front of the very best natural backdrops in the world, gives you a distinct advantage.
Paid assignments: Yes
What I like:  https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130330/02/5156aebc4bfcd_m.jpg
Suggestions/ Bottom line/verdict: If you want to shed some photos I would suggest you remove headless pics and below the chest cropped photos. I suggest you re-edit some good photos where all limbs and extremities are not chopped off. People would like to see the whole picture wink

I normally don't comment for MUA work, because I don't know enough to determine someone's skill level.
For the kind of work I do  I actually don't require a super MUA  because I rely on AI tools if needed and all gets 'fixed' in post.
In our era often stylists and photographers focus on natural looks.
I therefore wouldn't hire MUA unless a client ask for.

A quick glance to your updated port did not warrant to renew my opinion.
Thank you.

Just seeing this thread for the first time, somehow, in a decade (guess I should have been hanging out in the forums when there were actually more people here).  In any case, I'd love your feedback on my portfolio.

First impressions: I like your portfolio, nothing ostentatious but makes me want to click on thumbnails.

First impressions: Large portfolio
Your Skill level: can pull of wide range assignments if scripted.
Your creativity:  Photographer driven
Your Work focus: should shift to commercial work
Your MM Profile usefulness: Omitting your goals from your bio ultimately will bring  stray cats. smile
Your challenges: Drop the sad look
Paid assignments: Depends on purpose
What I like:  https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/240615/10/666dd44e212c1_m.jpg
Suggestions/ Bottom line/verdict: Having large number of pics in your port is a double edge sword. Sometime less means more. Oftentimes you appear either distracted or absent in some photos which renders it useless or  purposeless. Focus more on promoting your personality for your own portfolio work. Make those photos scream "I am here" showing confidence with  "to your face" attitude. Expand your repertoire of poses and don't rely always on photographers.
Watch the hand on head poses, you have too many of them.

Not sure why you have buildings, tigers and foxes in your portfolio because your dominant style is erotic.

Suggestions/ Bottom line/verdict: It would have been too time consuming to open all 292 photos you have in your port but the ones I opened gives me an idea of your skills compatible with the genre.

Your creativity:  Model driven
Your Work focus: Beauty Erotic glamor
Your MM Profile usefulness: To the point
Your challenges: Watch out the lighting and avoid flash flairs https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110908/18/4e696a02b2819_m.jpg
Choose better backgrounds as this view is pretty ugly and lighting is off. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/47306939
awkward shoot angles problematic framing https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120524/14/4fbead81d74a9_m.jpg in the latter, model obstruction of a fence and an unwanted light flair on her nose.
Paid assignments: No
Suggestions/ Bottom line/verdict: I see problems here and there with light. Some pics are unnecessarily over saturated. Crops appear to be random, overall work looks random lacks personality or purpose.

Redundancy

I'm interesting in more model projects. How do I get them interested in working with me?
I would assume models generally create an account on this site to make a living and earn money.
Therefore compensation is one aspect and the other is substance of your work.
I usually look for novice models for my pinup work because my niche is often misunderstood and oftentimes confused with lingerie glamor. I require a blank slate, a clear open mind where I can cast the personality I want to the model.
Finding the right model for the job is an investment in people. You need to know them enough to achieve your vision.
Basically put; you need to collaborate with people who don't know your niche or genre well but willing to be educated.
I never shoot models in the same genre they worked before with others. There is no point to create the same photos they already have in their port.
Before collaborating or hiring someone for a photo shoot, you must think purpose, and communicate  clearly your ideas and vision. Scripting a shoot requires planning but builds also trust of your model.
This is even more relevant for TFP work where both parties must be goal oriented and looking to brand their work.

First impressions: A portfolio I would not mind to visit again in the future

What to delete:  https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/48352836

Suggestions/ Bottom line/verdict: Obviously staying behind the camera for many years places you in a good position to pursue modeling but as usual my advice to male models is to focus on a certain genre if they are considering to earn money via modeling. I wished people emphasize more on their main selling point when creating a portfolio and attract the right jobs. Multi purpose portfolios are not very useful.
