Thanks for the review, Varton. I'd hoped to score a little better, BUT I don't disagree with what you've said.
I am wondering, however, if you'd mind pm'ing me to give me a more elaborate explanation of where the ranking of "Better than some" falls in regards to some other critique ratings? I'm not complaining, but I am curious to how far from bottom/top that is..its a little vague.. Also, what is the next level up from there, and what do you think I can do to get there? I think I have a partial idea (which I'll be happy to explain privately, if you don't mind bantering back and forth a bit), but I've never had a chance to make use of it...perhaps soon...

I would love to know what my strongest images are if you have a moment to spare! My speciality is artistic nude so I want to sell my work based in the strength of my artistic images...
Thank you!

I want to say thanks for your review you have done on my port before. I take all criticism to heart in a good and learning way cause I always want to improve. I've redone some of my port now and was hoping to get another honest review by you, I'd really appreciate it

Hi Varton,
I guess you are like the Godfather of MM, because everyone wants to come under your judging review. Very Nice ! .... Of Course Me Too . I have just a few photos so far but would appreciate your thoughts.
Thank you have a great 2017

MainFragger/Brian Brian I appreciate what you are asking but I don't have much time bantering via PMs but I will gladly clarify my views and answer your questions above
The real issue here is not really scoring better but to make sure your photography is understood.
I personally think that anyone can take photos but communicate efficiently the intent or an idea is always the weakest link in visual arts. Sometime a "technically" bad photo will look great and most will argue the "bad" feel is wanted and that's a form of an expression, and the opposite like a technically correct but a shot with no substance may also be perceived as good.
Your " art" has its own audience and is subjective, I, as a critique can't tell you how good of a photographer you are. My comment "better then some" means that your photography has some but not all of the ingredients to satisfy my basic criteria such as
visual appeal, technical dexterity, story telling. To me, the genre you are communicating is not visually appealing, nor interesting to me the way they are depicted, not because I find your photos flawed. They may be technically in the ball park, story telling may be on the spot but overall I don't see something earth shattering that's going for you.
Unless you plan carefully and shoot on a script you are gonna be on a slippery slope, falling into caveats such as tacky cemetery shoots, fake vampires etc. Your surrealistic tendencies are noted but doesn't create an impact as art.

Thank you have a great 2017 Thank you Melissa have a happy and a healthy new year as well.
I am looking forward to review your port asap. A quick glance tells me you look awesome but I wish you had more photos showing your face instead of those redundant photos where your shades are hiding your beautiful eyes.

Your Skill level: satisfactory for small fashion business
Your creativity: photographer driven
Specific style: eclectic
Your Work focus: multi genre
Your MM Profile usefulness: vague but it is OK, you list Erotic with saying "no" to nudity, you have some fetish photos but you don't indicate you shoot fetish in profile . People will get the idea.
Your challenges: some minor body language and composure problems in fetish and glamour.
Paid assignments: yes
Your money shot:

What to delete: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/41703939 appears a bit bothersome to me, I see some distortion your legs appear short and your face bigger, but I may be wrong.
Suggestions/ Bottom line/verdict: Your fashion shots come across better then your boudoir / lingerie glamour shots. But like anything else it takes time and practice to make it perfect.

Thank you! First impressions: girl next door look
Your Skill level: intermediate with good athletic abilities
Your Work focus: beauty glamour pinup art nudes
Your MM Profile usefulness: too long to read, overdone.
Your challenges: some of your photos look more erotic then artistic. black pants on a black couch really creates a bad photo.
Paid assignments: yes for nudes, but to sell them as work of art is another challenge. The competition is fierce.
Suggestions/ Bottom line/verdict: strongest photos fall in the bw art, some good posing. I wish I could see some photos you wearing some clothes. Find competent glamour photographers.
